Frequently Asked Questions

What is coaching?

Coaching is the facilitation of growth and change.

The International Coach Federation (ICF) defines coaching this way:

Coaching is an ongoing relationship which focuses on clients taking action toward the realization of their visions, goals or desires. Coaching uses a process of inquiry and personal discovery to build the client's level of awareness and responsibility and provides the client with structure, support and feedback. The coaching process helps clients both define and achieve professional and personal goals faster and with more ease than would be possible otherwise.

How does coaching take place?

I work with clients a minimum of four months to achieve thier goals. The majority of my coaching is done over the phone. This is an efficient and productive method that enables my clients to take advantage of coaching from the comfort of their home or office. Arrangements can be made for In person sessions, if desired.

How frequent are your coaching sessions?

My coaching packages provide three telephone coaching sessions per month. In addition to our scheduled sessions, I provided additional e-mail access, quick check-in calls between sessions, and a wide variety of resources and tools at no extra charge depending on the coaching package you choose.

How do I know working with you might help me?

Do any of these statements sound familiar?:

“I’m so busy managing the day-to-day challenges and functions in my business I don’t have the time to work ON my business.”

“I feel guilty not being home with my kids when I’m at work, and when I’m home spending time with my children I feel guilty about all the work still to be done.”

“I’m running at such a hectic pace and can’t seem to get everything done, but I just can’t say no.”

If you answered "Yes" to any of the above questions, I can help you!

How long do clients usually work with you?

When starting work with a new client, I ask them to make a minimum four-month commitment to themselves and their goals. Those clients who achieve the greatest results and make significant, long lasting change choose to work with me for 6 - 8 months on average.

What makes you different?

Coaching is a very popular industry and I’m proud to be part of it. The way I stand out from other coaches is:

  • After working with me, my clients feel they have greater balance in their life, excel in their business, and have more time for themselves and family. Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself.
  • I’m an ambitious working Mom myself and have an acute understanding of the unique challenges, struggles, and joys working mothers experience daily.
  • Lastly, I'm a professional. Anyone can hang out a shingle and call themselves a coach but they may not have been formally trained in specific coaching skills and are transferring skill sets from other professions into their coaching. I have taken the time to become qualified for coaching individuals.

In 2004, I graduated from The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) one of the few accredited programs by the International Coach Federation (ICF), the governing body of the coaching profession. In addition to being a member of the ICF, in 2007 I achieved the ICF Coach Credential of Associate Certified Coach (ACC).

I offer each client with whom I work my 3-Point Guarantee:

  • First I offer a consultation to discuss where you are now, where you want to be, and how you’re going to get there. This allows us to get to know one another and decide if we are a good fit for working together, and if my programs or private coaching sessions are right for you.
  • I guarantee to be on-time for every call, attentive and to keep YOUR big picture in focus.
  • While I ask you to make a minimum four-month commitment to yourself and goals, if after our first month working together if either of us believes the coaching process won’t help you achieve your objective, we can dissolve our relationship, and any pre-payment of fees will be fully refunded (less a 5% processing fee).

Do you only work with women?

I don't exclude men from my practice, however, I currently focus my marketing towards women, primarily working Moms. See what the "Super Dads" I've worked with have to say about the results of our coaching.
